Summary
We’re looking for a motivated Educational Practitioner / Dental Nurse Assessor to support and inspire dental nursing apprentices to achieve their qualifications. This full-time, primarily remote role will require you to manage your own caseload and work closely with employers and apprentices to ensure outstanding outcomes.
Salary: Subject to experience
Hours of Work: Full Time – Monday – Friday 09:00 am – 5:00 pm
Location: Work from home with some occasional travel.
Progression/Promotion: Internal Quality Assurance.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 28 days per holiday year, including bank holidays. Plus your birthday off.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting learners undertaking the apprenticeship qualification
- Supporting learners to achieve the relevant skills, knowledge and behaviours
- Supporting learners towards their End Point Assessment.
- Observe, assess and review work of the apprentices.
- Teach and mentor all apprentices.
- Completing learners in a timely manner in line with KPI’s and targets
- Working to ASAT Ltd, ESFA, Ofsted and awarding body requirements
- Providing information, support and guidance to learners and employers
- Conduct tripart reviews with learners and employers
- Working to quality standards and completing targets
- Maintaining records of learner progress
- Monitoring Learner Progress
- Implementing plans to ensure timely learner progression
- Ensure learners pass mandatory exams within two attempts
- Follow curriculum structure and delivery
- Working closely with the Head of Apprenticeships & Quality
- Deliver training and support either face to face or via webinars as the business requires
- Undertake and support learner inductions
- Attend regular standardisation training sessions and meetings
- Attend monthly management meetings
- To support, teach, mentor and motivate each apprentice
- Use the e-portfolio system – OneFile
- Manage a caseload of apprentices
- Work with and support members of the delivery team
- Contribute and support ESFA Audits
- Contribute and Support Ofsted Inspections
- Contribute and support Awarding Body sampling visits and requirements
- Contribute and support IQA sampling requirements
- Maintain mandatory CPD requirements
- Maintain mandatory GDC licence
Desired Skills and Requirements:
- A current and valid GDC Licence.
- A valid driving licence – You are required to travel to a variety of locations and to attend regular meetings at the centre – own car use is essential to this role.
- Competency and experience in the dental nursing industry.

Summary
This position requires remote one-to-one assessment support sessions with learners, use of the e-portfolio system, training and teaching to support the apprentices to achieve their full qualification and prepare for their End Point Assessment.
ASAT Ltd promote a blended learning approach with their Apprentices, consisting of face-to-face support, remote support, online teaching and training materials, group training and teaching sessions.

- Competency and experience in the childcare industry – at least 2+ years’ experience as a qualified nursery nurse is required.
- GSCE Grade C or above (equivalent) in English
